The Haitian Alliance Nurses Association International (HANA-I) is a 501(c)3 nursing organization incorporated in 2018 in the state of Florida. HANA-I’s mission is to create a forum to empower nurses of Haitian descent worldwide and advance the profession of nursing by promoting health and wellbeing for all through education, research, advocacy, and leadership.

HANA-I has a core of elite nurses, with a variety of specialties in nursing, such as nursing management/administration, academia, oncology, mental health, case management, critical care, nursing research, pediatrics, public heath, and maternal and child health; with a myriad of nursing certifications and degrees from LPN, associate, to doctorate.

HANA-I is comprised of 11 independent incorporated chapters of the Haitian American Nurses Association (HANA)

COVID-19 Taskforce Teams

The chapters within HANA-I have successfully collaborated, planned, and executed six annual leadership conventions. HANA-I has a taskforce team dedicated to address the COVID-19 pandemic with a focus on mental health, continuing education, and policy reforms.

Forging Partnerships & Engagement

We forge partnerships with professional Associations, Nonprofits and Educational partners such as Chamberlain University. We Create formal engagements with Academic Institutions. We Create an internship or work-study program as well as Immersion trips to Haiti, Africa, Canada and Europe.

Committees & Fellows

HANA-I maintains connections to Congressional and State Representatives. Our leadership team includes membership recruitment, international affairs, marketing & public relations, policy & advocacy as well as fundraising & grants to assist in the development of nurses of Haitian descent.
